5 Signs Your Website Is Costing You Customers
Most business owners sense when their website is underperforming, but it is hard to name why. These five signs come up again and again when we review sites that are due for a redesign.
1. It is hard to use on a phone
The majority of your visitors are on mobile. If text is tiny, buttons are cramped, or the layout breaks sideways, those visitors leave — and they rarely come back.
2. Nobody can tell what you do in five seconds
The first screen should answer three questions immediately: what you do, who it is for, and what to do next. If a stranger needs to scroll and guess, the page is working against you.
3. It loads slowly
Slow pages bleed visitors before your message is even seen. Speed problems are usually fixable — unoptimized images, heavy scripts and bloated themes are the usual suspects.
4. There is no clear next step
Every important page should lead somewhere: start a project, request a quote, send a message. If contacting you requires hunting, you are losing ready-to-buy visitors.
5. It no longer matches your business
Businesses evolve. If your site shows old services, old work or an old identity, it undersells what you actually do today. A redesign is often less about fashion and more about accuracy.
If two or more of these sound familiar, a focused redesign will usually pay for itself. Talk to us — we will tell you plainly what needs to change and what does not.
